DIY "Tie Dye Jeans"

Ph. Style by Kling and me
I'm sure you have seen the Isabel Marant Tie Dye jeans on several blogs now. Some of them original, some homemade. Because the price of the original Isabel Marant jeans is a little bit out of my budget I decided to take a chance myself to create my own "Isabel Marant" jeans.

What do you need?
- A dark or red jeans
- Bucket
- Cleaning gloves
- Bleach
- Rubber bands

You start with wrapping and folding the legs of your jeans. After you've done both legs, bundle it all up together.   Fill up the bucket with 3 liters of water and put 5 cups of bleach in it. How many cups you need depends on the type of bleach you use. I put in some extra cups during the proces because mine worked terribly slow! Put the jeans into the bucket and turn it every hour or so. Take out the jeans when it looks white enough for you and put it in the wasmachine without detergent. Lay the jeans flat to dry.

As you can see on the end result I wrapped the legs of my jeans a little bit better on the end of the legs then on the top. The better you fold it, the more dark pieces you get into your jeans. I am very happy with the end result and I'm sure I will wear it a lot this spring/summer! Do you like it and did you bleach your own clothes before?
