Good evening my lovely readers! How did you guys celebrate Easter? I spend it with my beloved family and way to many chocolate eggs ;)!
For the very first time here is a DIY project for you guys. I haven't named this blog Creativity & Chocolate without a reason. As you can read in my profile I love to make and bake things. The only problem is that I always forget to take pictures during the proces, so I can only show you the end result (like here and here in my Instagram Diary's). Oops! But this time I thought about my camera in time!
I decided to make this felt basket a while ago after I saw it in a store in town. Maybe some of you wonder why I just didn't bought it. Well, the first reason was the price and the second one the color (a little purple greenish...). It took a while before I found the right color and thickness of felt but I finally found it last thursday so I made this basket immediately this weekend!
The basket I saw in the store was 52 x 27,5 x 26 cm so I decided to make the same size. The bottom is one long piece and you need an extra piece for the handles. I chose to make them 30 centimeters long and 5 cm thick. After putting the basket together you have to iron it to get it in the right shape.

What do you need?
- Felt (in this case 90 x 120 cm)
- Thread
- Sewing-machine
- Sewing-machine jeans needles
- Pin's
- A large needle
- Paper for your patern
- A Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- An iron
What do you think about the end result? I am very happy with it and I finally have a decent home for my yarn and knitting needles ;)
